Chapters, Explorations, Training.
The years before Throughline. The adventures outside the boardroom. The training that grounds it.
Stay if you're curious; otherwise the main page has what you need.
Understanding the throughline came from working, and studying, at the seams. Fifteen years across private equity, philanthropy, diplomatic engagement, and pro-bono consulting — connected by the same pattern of being the operator inside ambitious, cross-disciplinary work.
My studies span mathematical economics, international relations, classical theatre, philosophy, project management, and ongoing AI training — woven into how I research, synthesize, and build.
Stagecraft sharpens three things in client work: narrative, presence, and the ability to read a room under pressure.
My training extends far beyond the classroom. I'm an American who has lived abroad in London, Brazil, Guatemala, and Morocco, with travels across five continents — and off-and-on immersion in Spanish, Arabic, and Portuguese language study since 2011.

I am constitutionally incapable of living small. My life is driven by a relentless appetite to experience, understand, and better our world.
In 2025, I volunteered with Because We Carry at a refugee camp on Lesvos, Greece, leading creative workshops for children and supporting displaced families. The same year, I performed in Dutchman and The Slave at Passage Theatre — seminal works of the Black Arts Movement interrogating race, power, and American identity — engaging regional audiences in post-performance dialogues on social justice themes.
Since 2009, I've led cross-disciplinary instruction in mathematics, writing, admissions strategy, vocal production, and performance training, and have been recognized for translating complex concepts into accessible, high-impact learning systems.
I hold several swordfighting certifications, became a kitesurfer in a remote Brazilian fishing village few travelers reach, hiked volcanoes to 10,000 feet, and solo road-tripped 3,500 miles across the American Southwest in a colorful campervan.
I'm a passionate believer in the power of emotional intelligence — invaluable infrastructure, in my view, to the health of any relationship or venture. I hold a daily yoga and meditation practice, and dedicate my spare time to studying philosophy, breathwork, and Nonviolent Communication.
